Unique and Memorable Day Trip

Have you already visited Rome and want to experience a journey in the land of Etruscans, the civilization that preceded the Romans?

We offer a tailored tour in northern Latium, in the surrounding areas of Viterbo.

Viterbo attracts tourists yearly thanks to its historical heritage, which retraces the city’s rich history, particularly from the Etruscan times to the Middle Ages. Surrounded by the 12th-century walls, its Old Town looks as if it were frozen in time.

Viterbo is also famous for its wines and cuisine. Your guide will suggest the most authentic eateries and wineries where you thoroughly enjoy local food.

One of our English-speaking drivers will pick you up from the lobby of your hotel in Rome and will be at your disposal throughout the day.

Palazzo of the Pops

When Rome became too dangerous, the Popes preferred to escape to Viterbo, a nearby, rich, and above all, safe city because it was Guelph. The Palace of the Popes was therefore built between 1255 and 1266 by the Captain of the People Raniero Gatti precisely to host the Roman pontiffs who transformed Viterbo into a " Little Rome," the "City of the Popes," as it is still called today

Villa Lante

Villa Lante is a Mannerist garden of surprise in Bagnaia, Viterbo, central Italy, attributed to Jacopo Barozzi da Vignola. The gardens of the Villa Lante feature cascades, fountains, and dripping grottoes. The Villa Lante is formed by two houses, nearly identical but built by different owners in a period separated by 30 years. Each square building has a ground floor of rusticated arcades or loggias that support a piano nobile above.

Etruscan Museum of Rocca Albornoz

The National Etruscan Museum of Rocca Albornoz opened in 1986. The building that houses it was built in 1354 by Cardinal de Albornoz, Vicar General at the time, to watch over the surrounding church possessions. Rocca Albornoz’s museum displays items from the most representative settlements of inner southern Etruria. These include exceptional life-size reconstructions of buildings, Etruscan inscriptions (scarce and symbolic evidence of the Romanisation of Etruria), and a prestigious Etruscan bronze chariot.

Sanctuary of the Oak

The Sanctuary of the Oak is the prime site of Marian devotion in the province of Viterbo and is one of the most spectacular and historically significant. The first stone of the Sanctuary was laid in 1467. The church interior is a masterpiece of Renaissance harmony.

Thermal Baths of Terme

The thermal baths are a source of youth, beauty, and healing. They are naturally fed by the sources at a temperature of 65°C. With balneotherapy in the spring water, you are the first to receive all the benefits, thanks to the natural inhalation of the vapors while the body intakes mineral salts—pure energy from the depths of the earth. The visit to the Baths is not available during summer.

Your kid-friendly guide will take you on an exciting journey through the past, showing you the attractions playfully and memorably.

Saturday Only, Poolside Dinner at Oasi Terme. Conclude your journey on Saturday with a charming dinner at the poolside restaurant of Oasi Terme and experience the magic of bathing in hot spring water under the stars.
